Student Housing-Eugene, LLC, an affiliate of Columbia Investments, LLC has awarded Greystar Student Living the management of Arena District Apartments in Eugene, Oregon. The 244-bed student housing community, formerly named University House Arena District, is located at 2050 E 15th Avenue at the intersection of Walnut Street and East 15th Avenue. The eco-friendly community is LEED Gold certified by the United States Green Building Council.
Gerding Edlen Development the original developer of the project is continuing to act as asset manager on behalf of Columbia Investments. “Arena District was built with sustainable materials and includes a variety of green features,” said Jill Sherman, Partner for Gerding Edlen. “The community has social spaces and study areas for students to gather that have been designed with reclaimed post-industrial milled steel panels and cedar wood siding.”
The community offers two and four-bedroom apartment homes ranging in size from 671 to 1,090 square feet of living space. Floor plans incorporate contemporary furniture packages with 42" flat screen TV’s, Apple TV, free cable and high speed internet. Well-appointed interiors include sustainable Caesarstone® countertops, custom cabinetry, under cabinet lighting, under mount sinks in kitchens and wood-style plank flooring. Green features such as energy efficient lighting, low-VOC paint, solar-generated hot water, operable windows for natural ventilation and EnergyStar® front loading washers and dryers are incorporated into each apartment home.
Amenities include a clubhouse with an internet café with Mac computers, seating areas and a multimedia lounge with gaming stations and billiards tables. Students can also enjoy a large outdoor courtyard with drought tolerant landscaping and grilling stations. The community offers indoor bicycle storage, covered parking, recycling centers and reserved parking spaces for fuel-efficient vehicles. In addition, Arena District provides roommate matching and social events for residents.
