Urban Street Development and CollegeTown, LLC has awarded Greystar Student Living the management of CollegeTown at Madison Street, a new student-focused development in Tallahassee, Florida. Phase 1 of the project, located at 815 Madison Street, has been completed and includes 135 beds and a variety of popular restaurants. Phase 2 is under construction on the northeast corner of South Woodward Avenue and West Madison Street and will feature 202 beds and additional retail space.

“Greystar is a widely recognized leader in the multifamily industry and their expertise will aid us in elevating the growth plans we have for the future of CollegeTown,” said Alan Hooper of Hooper Construction. “CollegeTown at Madison Street offers students a pedestrian friendly location, only two blocks from the Florida State campus, across from Doak Campbell Stadium and close to Howser Baseball Stadium.”

The urban community includes one, two and three-bedroom apartment homes ranging in size from 538 to 1,107 square feet of living space. Interiors consist of contemporary furnishings, open floor plans, kitchen islands, espresso cabinetry, granite countertops and stained concrete flooring. Apartment homes incorporate features such as flat screen TV’s, nine to 14-foot ceilings, walk-in closets, stackable washers and dryers, and balconies in select units. Amenities include a 4,000 square foot indoor/outdoor summer kitchen, a state-of-the-art fitness center, high-speed internet, areas for social gathering and a business center. Convenient on-site dining options include Urban Outfitters, Madison Social, Pomberry, Samba Cantina, Recess, Brooklyn Water Bagel and Vale Foods.
